Knock sensors on T350?

While looking in the engine bay I noticed some unconnected wires. These were labelled as "Front Knock Sensor" and "Rear Knock Sensor". Do these exist on the 3.6 litre Speed Six engine in the T350 (early 2003 model) or are these just there because of a standard wiring loom that is used which contains all connectors even if they aren't used?

In case you haven't seen my thread. I also have the disconnected knock sensors. Mine is a July 03 T350C.
