How many have had the Austec chip treatment?
Discussion
I know one PHer has, Mr Freefall I think. What is the gain? It would be great to see power charts for before and after as simple max power changes are not really reflective of the potential increase in velocity gaining ability.
I had my Chimaera Mark Adams chipped and that went very well, and was much smoother. Since I have a 2004 T350 it is plenty smooth, but a bit more oooomph would be useful.
My pockets may be suitably loaded in a few months time to spare the £800 or so needed for this treatment.
Comments?
P.S. Before anyone suggests it, I don't want a farty exhaust.

Thanks for the link.
The graphs on that thread make no sense, however. I think there must be an error. Since BHP is a function of torque, you cant have a lower torque curve and a higher BHP at the same revs (which seems to be the case above 5k).

I think you'll find that the Surrey and Austec graphs don't 'line up' as they have different scales for power and torque. The Noble plot there does cross at 5252 (or what ever the figure is!) as lb/hp are the same scale.
I have an Austec graph for my car that I 'handraulically' drew the torque curve onto the same scale as power to check that they did cross, yes they did.
