Is black boring?

Looking at placing an order for a Saggy, I fancy Moonracker black with tan interior/black piping and anthracite wheels.

However, most Saggy's seem to be ordered in more interesting colours, am I silly to go boring will the impact of the car be lost?

Adrian, I have gone boring ..it should be in the dealer this week (Racing Green).. if you want to see it.. I debated various colours and I know there are downsides but went for black (Mystic Black Pearl). Its all a little subjective.. the only other colour I would go for is reflex charcoal.. also went for anthracite wheels and a black interior with dark red stitching and pipeing.. and some carbon leather to break up the interior.. Just hope it arrives soon.. please.

PS - any colour the Sagaris just looks excellent.. slightly biased point..

My Tuscan S was Formula Red Pearl, the paint looked wet when polished and it showed off the shape really well.

Is there a black which is similar, very black, very shiney?

The dealer said that to me on Mystic Black "paint looks wet when polished" - honest.. but then they were selling me a car..

edited to say "although not much of a sell" !!

I contemplated this subject for a long long time before I decided. My thoughts are that, boring is best...

I fell in love with 'Chameleon Green' (I think that is what it was called). I realised I would get tired of it after a while, and would not be able to use it for all occasions...
then thought about 'moonraker black' but found it to make the saggy look small, and my G/f didn't like it, so I have decided on a dark Grey...

I have never had so much trouble spec-ing a car!!!

It honestly depends on when you are going to use the car. My saggi is going to be an 'everyday' car...

If I were to choose another colour it would be reflex charcoal...

Cautionary note on RC. We have RC T350t which is the most amazing colour in sunlight. However, it's softer than Tony Blairs brain and chips like mad. 3000 miles and already needs nose respray. Cham Green looks brill on saggy but may also be a soft finish.

Would 'Armourfend' or somthing similar avoid this problem?

Stops the paint chips but replaces them with dents (it's soft). Also looks bloody awful when you get a polish-line round armourfend which is difficult to get rid of.

Thanks for clarfying, I might reconsider getting Armourfend... I suppose there is no way to avoid chips and dents... Do you know if starmist grey is 'soft'?

LOL, you should see those Saggy pics from my screen, with my graphics card dying on me, and whilst in its death throws, the colours on those pics gives a whole new meaning to spectraflair!!!!

(can barely see what I'm typing!!!)

Never!! Clean and well polished, I think few other colours can come close. IMO, anyway.
