Just a quick note to say it was my cars 1st birthday 1 week ago and it has just clicked over to 11,000 miles.. 6 months in the UK, 6 months in Norway, and two trackdays.

So far, (touch wood), no mechanical problems at all, in fact the engine just keeps getting faster...!:driving:

Heres to the next twelve months!! :)

Cool , are you not selling it now? I remember you saying at the Silverstone that you may had to part with it!
Mine's a 2002 version, and will soon be on 20K miles, with no trouble! I know that's not a lot, but with the horror stories we're constantly bombarded with, are we lucky, or is it the norm?

Did I say that..?!! Well, I'm just about to take on a HUGE morgage, so it's gonna be tricky for the next few months, but I'm sure I'll manage to keep hold of her!!

I think as previous posts have eluded to, If you use them every day as we do then you "tend" to get fewer problems (choosing words carefully now as dont want to spark another debate..!). Hopefully if we continue to use them regularly and look after them the trend will continue!

My T350T is about a week older than mjc's. It has covered just under 11,000 miles now (bugger, you beat me). 2 very long trips to Italy/Germany/France. Nurburgring. Autobahns. Chased by the French cops for being loud and English (got away).

No mechanical problems.

A few trim snags like rear light sealing, interior door panel finish. No problems with 'fit' like many have reported though - my doors/roof seem to behave.

One recent 'failure' in that my aircon wouldn't turn off (i.e. it was on constantly). Dealer just had the fan/aircon ECU repaired at the factory.

These cars will be illegal in 10 years. To all the doubters, own one now while you still can.

Oh, dont get me wrong - I had MORE than my fair share of trim niggles etc in the first 6 months (all pretty much sorted now), but mechanically she's still going strong!

I have come to learn that 'little niggles' like trim is all part of the TVR experience, we put up with it without any complaint, other people however, would find them unacceptable, me, I think its a miniscule price to pay for the overall experience

I agree about value for money, in South Africa the cost of a T350 is unfortuntely severely inflated however still is a bargain when compared to a similarly performing Porsche, Ferrari etc. Had mine for 2 months now (Owned '98 Chim 500 for 2.5 years previously) and yes, do have all the trim niggles plus the usual TVR problems that usually crop up until they're sorted - but something crossed my mind the other day - maybe it's because TVR's are not perfect is why they have such a fanatical following (admittedly only by us lot) I always look forward to getting "this" problem sorted or "that" niggle fixed etc. - and there's inevitably something "else" that crops up just when you think the cars perfect, TVR's are always a work in progress in my mind. Comes the day all the worries are sorted I'll probably get bored, flog it and buy a new one! Happy motoring!
