They were never vents on the production cars, just slashes on tbe bodywork. I'd be surprised if they are gone as well now.

If that's true then it's s shame. I know they didn't actually serve a purpose, but it's been sad to watch the sagaris slowly become more and more watered down from the original concept.

I would consider those with an early sagaris lucky to have the slashes if this is the case!

I think what your dealer is probably talking about is that fact the slashes/vents are no longer "open", but they're still there in the bodywork, just that they're purely cosmetic and pointless now as they're closed

The Sagarii on the production line on the 7th July all definately had the vents done. Why would they change the moulds, after a couple of months of production when the car is selling so well anyway?

They'd just make the Saggy closer to the t350c in looks, what's the point in that (unless they discontinued the t350 first).

I'd be really, really suprised if there were any truth in this at all....

Ah, but the LHD moulds are different from the RHD ones anyway (the raised roof will be on the other side).

Post a picture and I'll be convinced....anyone?

So, basically, what you're getting for the 12K over the T350 is an 'S' version of the same car, with slightly wider tracking?

Whereas a few fake vents in the front makes all the difference?
Bit sad if they are the reason people are buying the Sagaris...

I think we have have a bit of a language translation/misunderstanding here, nothing more than that...

Eric, can you confirm which of the following you believe to be true...

1. The sagaris no longer has functional vents. The vents have been filled in, however the slices still appear on the arches (albeit they are not functional).

2. The sagaris no longer has functional vents. The filled slices have also been removed, so the arches appear to be smoothed over just like the T350 appears.

If it is the former, then this is how we have the Sagaris in the UK, and what differes it(amongst other things) to the prototype model.

Erik.

Production Sagaris' have NEVER had 'functional' vents, apart from when it appeared on the prototype model. My question to you is simple...

Is your dealer telling you that the filled vents have been removed and the arches completely smoothed over? Or is he simple stating what we already knew, which is the prototype functional vents have been filled on production models?

If the vents are no more I think this is a very good move and well done TVR.

I would prefer the Sagaris with fully functional vents-the RT version as shown in the original prototype but if these are not cost effective to manufacture ( My guess as to the real reasn why they are no more) then I much prefer to have smooth wings. TVR have always been a mix of functionality and beauty-the current filled in vents always made me very uncomfortable as they were 'fake'. Sagaris back on my list now-fantastic news!!!
