What to buy a T350c or t?
Discussion
Hi
I am looking for a little advice. Having been a Tuscan owner for over a year now (daily drive 15,000 miles a year) I have a hankering to try another one of the TVR family and a test drive of the T350 has made my decision for me.
What were the main reasons for you choosing a C or a T and are there any particular things to look out for?
Thanks
Sarah
PS Sorry if this is a particularly stupid question that has been done to death before :)

Good choice
The Targa and Coupe are exactly the same except the roof panels come out on the Targa. You also get a bit more space inside.
The key thing to look out for is how the previous owner treated the car. See how it gets driven from cold, just like the Tuscan the engine is potentially the weakest point. Body/suspension wise they're tough as anything, just like the Tuscan.

The C is a bit quieter (wind noise from the T panels when going at proper TVR type speeds.....I'm sure I'm about to get shot down by 'T' owners for saying that) but the T has a bit more head room although looks like a drunken geezer with a hacksaw and a handful of B&Q fasteners has installed the roof panels IMO.
Also my local dealer tells me that TVR are to stop making the T. He also told me that TVR have recently introduced something called 'Quality control'!!!!
To be honest as I haven't got either a 'C' or a 'T' yet I'd get whichever one came up in the classifieds that met my requirements and not bother too much about whether it has roof panels or not. Although I would prefer a 'C' it wouldn't be a deal breaker and I'd soon persuade myself that I wanted a 'T' all along anyway if a top notch one came up!

Thanks Guys,
I have to be honest and say im swaying towards the T for those times when its not raining (all year round). I like the fact that most of my drives are with the roof off (even on the way to work) and I was a little concerned that I would miss the times when I couldnt see the sky
I test drove the t and didnt find it any noisier than my tuscan tbh but think Im going to go with the approach of if I find the right car in the spec/colour and drive I want I wont let the decision of wether its a t or not get in the way..
I will let you know how I get on!

No windnoise from the panels in my brand new 'T' up to 85mph so far (im still running her in so im maxed to 85mph at 3500rpm). If you are thinking about a T, then go for one, cos you will always have that 'what if' doubt in your head.
I personally think the T panels make the car look more aggressive, especially from the rear, and ALL the comments ive had about the targa panels have been positive so far. The most common being "its looks very 'batmanesque' "
