Me & mrs pilgrim went down to Peninsula to have a chat to Alan about the Tamora we've just ordered. He let us out in a T350, same engine an' all. F**K me did it piss me off - the seat belts are a friggin mare, all to do with the angle they are mounted at!!!

On that point alone, so glad we've gone for a tamora!!

Never had a problem with our seatbelts (T350T), both are used frequently. I wonder if its when the cars are left sitting around (on a forecourt for instance) that does it.

I think it's to do with the where the car is left to stand. I use my car daily and do an above average mileage in it, and mine are a nightmare.

When I park the car at my parents (on a sloped drive) I can never use the seatbelts until I've driven to the bottom of the road absolutely no matter how long I attempt to move them.

At home, in a flat garage it's never a problem. They're a pain in the neck, and my biggest gripe with the car!

Mine never work if I'm facing down hill or if a pretty lady is watching

Just to add a bit of a different stance to things, my drivers belt works fine ALL the time, where as the passenger belt is a mare and never retracts back without a bit of help, regardless of where the car has been sat! grrr

Mine are slope dependent. Upslope and level, just fine. Down slope, forget it.

I guess it is possible that there have been some improvements. The car we drove last weekend was an 03 T350T and I recall the very first TVR we drove (T350 C) was an absolute nightmare with the belts.

We then went and sat in the new Tamora in the showroom and there was absolutely no problems what so ever.

sorry, should have elaborated a bit...as many of you have said, any breed of an angle or slope, and they lock at the slightest movement. That apart, I think the T350 is a good car, it's just that a fairly minor thing spoilt our enjoyment of it

Mine were such a pig the dealer is replacing them at the first service as their initial 'adjustments' did not improve them. Will post with result once I've collected it later this week.

You'll need to remove a lot more than that, mate - if you want to keep up with me

Or..... strap a saturn rocket to the back

This is a characteristic of every TVR I've owned and driven. It's not as pronounced with my Tamora (only occured a few times so far) but the Tuscan was an absolute nightmare! If it was parked on a any kind of a slope (small or large) the seatbelts would lock and the only way to get them sorted was to drive to a flat area.
