Servicing pricelists: (Prices all incl. VAT)
Speed 6 cars
6k £433.00
12k £602.00
Tappets £159.00

Is it me or are those prices quite cheap? Which begs the question, is the new Silverstone an 'official' TVR dealer? Everything on the website suggests they aren't, but there is plugging for TVR financial services, which is contrary?

Silverstone Performance is not an official dealer. It is a new business formed by the guys who ran Silverstone TVR. The TVR Financial Services bit is an oversight (carried over from the previous website) which is being removed - although we will offer alternative finance. The service pricing does not reflect a reduction in the quality or level of work carried out - the same people using the same equipment and expertise as before, including the courtesy car - just a lot less overhead and a desire not to lose the momentum that we worked so hard to build up. Please feel free to call in, although you might want to leave it until the end of the week when our coffee machine arrives

Still confused about this.

For the purpose of keeping the warranty people happy the car has to be serviced at a TVR 'recognised' dealer.

What exactly does that mean?
Is there a list available from somewhere?

Well, after being raped twice by TVR 'recognised' dealers, I would MUCH prefer someone who I KNOW will do a top job on my P&J, and Silverstone seem to know what they're doing! That's more important to me than a meaningless 'Official' stamp!

Entirely agree Chris, but I would not like to give the warranty bods an excuse not to cough up if my engine goes pop.

EU legislation does not permit manufacturers to invalidate there own warranties, where a vehicle has been serviced by a third party who exists outside the approved dealer network, that has been "serviced in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines" and OEM parts have been used.

As long as the vehicle is serviced in acordance with the manufactures recommended service schedule by a VAT regsistered dealer and you keep the relervent records you are fine.

Many great technicians set up as independents and they will do the work themselves and experience is so valuable in this field - so where ever you get work done its more important that the job is done right by someone well respected and then it never makes a massive issue with the next owner and if the paperwork side is right and vat number then it won't effect your warranty rights.

Anyway good luck to the boys as any help in TVR ownership counts

Yes, The Cerbera is the mistress not the wife in the cars stakes

Expensive, high costs for low usage and great for high days and holidays
