I was told this evening that the off-side brake light on my Tam isn't working. I'm a bit (ok, more than a bit) useless with this sort o' thing! Is it easy to fix myself? Will I have to take it to a TVR garage or can any local garage fix it? (it's still under warrenty). Any advice would be much appreciated!

(Told you it was boring!!!)

Brake lights are really easy to get to.

Just pull all the lining out of the boot, near the light, (there will be a 'panel' velcroed on) then remove the twisty cap to get the bulb out.

Be thankful it's not a headlight!

Yes, agree, headlights are a complete nightmare, the rear light clusters, however, are very easy - like any other car in fact!

Thanks a lot!!! Very helpful. Spoze I can pick up a replacement bulb from Halfords?

(By the way, will it be obvious which one is the brake light? )

Good luck.

I've replaced off-side brake lights, near-side brake lights & brake fuses myself numerous times.

Its been in to Chris Neil's and HL Gornor's to have the brake lights fixed.

And still one or both don't work.

Its my biggest gripe on the car. How difficult can it be to make a circuit to light up a fecking bulb.

I followed a 34yr old Alfa home from Le Mans fuming that his brake lights were working + my weren't!
