Having previously owned two TVR's (Chimaera & Tamora)each of which didn't reach the 1000 mile service without return visits to the dealer, it was a pleasant surprise when my new Sagaris not only had a completely uneventful millenium but the worst defect I could muster was a mis-fitting washer bottle cap and a windscreen wiper that didn't quite clear the screen. Oh - and the rubber strip on the bonnet and inspection panel was coming lose but this was quickly rectified by removing the whole lot leaving a much better and neater detail (new cars now do not have the strip.)

Thus a far cry from the two previous cars where the notes in a notebook kept in the car were transferred to a make a short novel of items needing rectification at 1000 miles.

On this evidence it would appear Mr Smolenski's efforts to improve quality control have worked which will be a great relief for prospective buyers and the dealers who had to sometimes start rebuilding cars the minute they came off the transporter.

Well done Mr S.

Good news indeed...and I hear rumours that the Tuscan convertibles now appearing at the dealerships are noticeably better re build quality....

All good stuff....

six months,8000 miles,not a single problem.
36,000 mile warranty
Approved factory warranty available after that.
New showrooms at good sites in London
Clear strategy with a focus on the quality at the Factory

What a great time to be a TVR fan

Although I do agree in principal with this thread and I only took my car back for the Tracker to be fixed (not a TVR component) before the 1k service.

There are a number of silly cosmetic faults (and some fundamental) on my Sagaris that will mean a visit before 6k miles. I expect this to be just one visit but a lengthy one. I've done 2k miles now and just do not want to give it back just yet.

When it starts raining....... oh and the factory come up with the new ECU.
