I picked the Tamora up at 12.30 today and it now has 125 miles on the clock.
I am absolutely delighted with it. At the end of the trip home I felt so very comfortable with the car and I am grinning from ear to ear.
There are some minor issues to resolve at the 1st service and in comparison with faults I have had with other new cars (Porsche included) they are not even worth reporting on.
I did have a message regarding the fuel sensor so to double check that the reading I had was accurate I stopped to fill up. Based on the car having a 55 litre tank the reading appears to be spot on so I am guessing there was just a minor blip somewhere. The best thing was that the car was returning 27MPG which was very good considering I had been cross country to work the gearbox and brakes.

I should hope so! I know TVR has a reputation for variable build quality, but the least they can do is make sure it leaves the factory with these rather important bits on!
For all my hand-wringing on here about whether to buy, I haven't actually got as far as test-driving a Tamora yet....
A trip up to H L Gorner or across to Peter Smith this weekend may well be in order if the weather is halfway decent.
Yes go and give one a go. My experience of TVR test drives was that I was so concerned about the power and ability of the car I just clung to the steering wheel for dear life.
After 40 miles in my own car I feel so comfortable with it, I am already driving with 1 hand. The clutch is heavy but no worse than my M3.

Lurking Lawyer - careful with a test drive. It has been known for people to only last minutes between a test and buying one.
I debated it for a while (all the usual rag-top suspects) - went to Dream Machines did a test drive in the Tamora and bought it instantly.. be very very careful when visiting TVR dealers

Congrats - hope you see you aout & about in the fair county of Wiltshire.
BTW - do all new Tams have to be picked-up on Fridays?
mhannington got his a few weeks ago on a Friday too!
Mine was delivered on a Thursday.

I too have had the fuel sensor warning when there is about 20-24l left in the tank. Why do you think the tank has a 55l capacity as my handbook states 63l. Which dealer did you use?

My dealer told me it was 55 Litre although my handbook also says 63 litres. Plus every time I fill the tank it clicks off as full and reads 54 litres on the menu screen.
I bought the car from Peninsula in Exeter. They did me a terrific deal and have looked after me exceptionally. I also spoke with Racing Green and Gatwick TVR both of whom were very helpful.
Mark what does your reading give you when the tank is full?

So are you having a new sensor because it is reading 55 Litres or a new sensore because you had the error message?
I have to say I haven't noticed anything coming out of the footwell vents. Gabriel shut the one in the passenger seat footwell becuase it was blowing cool air out. I will try it out tomorrow and see what happens. I do know I had to shut the window vents because the heat was tremendous last Friday.

I have had error code 19 - Fuel Sensor come up every time the fuel level fell to around 24l.
We (Teresa and I) were out in the car on Sunday afternoon/early evening and she asked for some warmth round the feet, that's when we found out all we could get from the footwell vents was cold air.
