The Tuscan Convertible thread about the Ford Indicator Stalks got me thinking about what other parts of the car are made by other companies?

Clearly the ignition keys are ford (no bad thing) but does anyone know if the gearbox is TVR's own or is that a bought in item. I have to say my own is absolutely fantastic (Certainly in comparison with a T350 I drove)

I believe its a Borg Wagner T5 gearbox, used in many a yank V8 installation and original Sierra Cosworths.

The borg warner was a superb gearbox in the Cosworth. I had both a Sierra and an Escort Cos. The Sierra's box was significantly better and stronger.

I'm glad TVR use it.
