SSIAR, but seeing as the dash/trans tunnel, door pods etc are leather/vinal and susceptical to sunlight and day to day damage/wear, is it ok to treat them with some Autoglym leather care cream?

Or does the TVR material not respond well to this stuff. I'd rather find out now before putting it all over my navy & magnolia interior! :D

Kevin,

I have cleaned my doors/dash with Zymol Leather Cleaner. There have been no problems with that product, so I would have thought the Autoglym stuff should be ok.

Can you test a hidden area (I didn't do that with the Zymol) to ease your concerns.

I have to say I don't like the cleaners that Peninsula use, everything is very sticky and smells an awful lot, hence I have started to clean the car myself as some of the Portland Leather is a bit grubby.

Hi Kevin, I put the same stuff all over my light Portland Grey Tuscan interior and it was fine.

I see TVR apparently recommend some other stuff though - Gliptone. See:-

Thanks for the info Guys.

I should have pointed out that I only use the Autoglym Leather 'cleaner' cream twice a year on my cars, 'cos it saps some of the colour out of leather overtime if used excessibly(my ex girlfreinds dad owns his own car trimming business so knows about these sorts of things). The stuff i was referring to was the Leather 'care cream' which moisturises and keeps the leather supple and brittle/crack free. It has no cleaning agents in it.

But from what you say, i should be fine to use it.

Cheers

Kevin it was the Autoglym leather care (not cleaner) cream that I used too. I didn't notice it change the colour of my Porland Grey much except for a few green spots and purple stripes that appeared LOL

Only use it once a year myself.

Gary.

Thanks guys, i shall treat her at the weekend then. Prevention is better than a cure i find.

APT, a few issues still to be addressed(both on and off the car) but im just glad to have her back, it was getting a bti farcical! Went for a drive on Sunday through Cheddar and she was fantastic.

jt, SSIAR = Subject says it all really.
