Hi all,

Looking to change diff oil in the Tamora at the weekend. I’ve had a look under the car and can see the drain plug. I can’t see the fill plug. Looking at vardys manual mines not where it is on the orange Sagaris. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I think its a BTR cone diff.

Thanks

Ok I’ve had the car on the ramp today and I’ve found the bolt.
It’s located on the right hand side of the diff in front of the drive shaft it should have the diff tag on it. It’s a bit of a fiddle & you’ll need a 1 1/8”spanner.

To refill: 1.6 ltrs 80w/140 Morris diff oil to fill. You’ll need a shyphon and a flexi- rubber hose to get the fluid in the diff, if you haven’t got one Amazon will do one at £15 or so with different types of filler hoses/ pipes with end caps.

Loctite the bolt & tighten to 25ft/lb. For the diff. drain plug, which is at the bottom of the diff @6 o’clock that needs tightening to 20 ft/lbs & loctite too.

Hope this helps anyone attempting the job in the coming months.

Recommendations are 36k miles or 5 years.

Time circa 40mins.
