Hi all :)

alwayz me asking for advices, this time on Sag optionals. I'll be brief this time, I swear :D

- hydratrack differential comes as standard on the Sag or is it an option?
- how about close ratio gearbox? is it standard or option? if it's an option, is it worth havin'?
- does anyone know if TVR Power Sports exhaust are available also for the Sag? I read in another thread that they make the T350 sound like Thor, god of thunder...
are there other aftermarket loud 'n cool exhaust for the Sag, apart from Racing Green alternative exhaust pipes?

...every promise is a debt... :D

Hydrotrack is standard on the car, close ratio gearbox is an option and there are pro's and cons about if it is better or not. If you plan to spend lots of time on track then go for it, on the road the long first gear takes some getting used to... drive both is my recommendation it is a very personal thing.

Exhausts, there are none about at the moment, even the racing green option does not currently change the volume as the side boxes on the car are already sleaved so changing them will not effect the sound of the car. The centre box has to be changed and currently there is not an off the shelf option.

I find the close ratio gearbox much more driveable than the standard one from my previous speed six.

The CR box was on the car that posted 0-100 in 8.5 in Autocar. It's also on my Sagaris and I'm glad I've got it.

Definitely go for the CR box. It is the best option I’ve ever had on a car.

What speed does the CR bring each gear down to?

I had a Tuscan S with c/r box and it was very lumpy in first and second, very hard work to drive around town, fine on open road. (excellent away from lights not needing to change up)

As I live in London decided against it on the Saggy.

It means that you can drive it like a normal (well TVR normal) car knowing it can turn into a screaming banchee when you want to, IMHO.

Cr box is strictly in the nice to have option bracket. You dont need it and it isnt worth £1500, but it is fun and it makes 3rd & 4th hellish fast gears.

I find the CR gearbox makes driving in traffic and at lower speeds a doddle as I can keep the car in first/second and let my left leg relax. I had the standard gearbox in my Tuscan and my left leg nearly fell off from all the shifting when in town or traffic.

If the standard gearbox gives you a top speed of 180 or so, wouldn't the CR be a obvious choice? If this brings the max speed down to say 160 that would surely be enough and you'd have all that extra in gear acceleration at the speeds you use most.

4th and 5th gear ratios are the same as standard box.

Ist gear is a lot higher, 2nd and 3rd are evenly spaced to 4th.
