Hello I have pretty much set my heart on getting a 2nd hand T350, how ever I don't ever see them on trackdays, and am a little concerned over the reliabilty of the engine etc. Is it just a case of ensuring you warm and cool the car down effectively?

I used to own a nicely tuned Elise, with stickys, Nitrons etc, and although I know it will not be as chuckable, but there is a life after a Elise I think ;)
I suppose what Im asking is are they up to 7-8 trackdays a year, and what extras would I need to track it, uprated brakes, nitrons, baffled sump, harnesses etc

Steve Gugliemi helped me out a lot with my Elise set up, presumably he comes recommended in the TVR world too seeing as he always has a brace of them there?

Tracked mine for the first time at the TVR Monster with no problems at all. I also passengered in it for a couple of laps with Michael Caine driving which really gave me a idea of just how fast they are...

Cheers,
Howard

Have done a couple of track days in mine, my call is that the rear suspension is a bit soft for the track brakes are fine but some would say that the RR brake upgrade is worthwhile. You will not need a baffled sump 'cos the S6 is a dry sump motor. I suspect some nitrons and poly bushes fitted by the right person will be worthwhile although my car was just excellent on the bumps at Castle Combe.

I guess the biggest cost is going to be servicing, 7/8 trackdays are going to mean at least 4 services per year.
I have only driven an Elise on the road but as TVR's go the T350 is every bit as chuckable, trouble is you will be going a lot quicker to beware

Living in Oz now and hoping to do a trackday later this month with the Lotus club I guess I'll see how the T350 fairs against an Elise then.

T350s are great fun on the track. This is where the rev happy nature of the engine comes into its own. Most of the time on the public road you don't get the chance to stretch the engine to the redline.

They are much easier for your average driver to drive fast too (i.e. me).

Almost same cornering speeds surprisingly, but rather more fun in corners as it comes with beautifully progressive 'steering assistance' (depress pedal...!)

Much more fun and acceleration at Spa than Exige I tried against it

Steve G. prepped my Ginetta; very thorough, but you know that.
