OMEX wiring diagram

who can help me with a wiring diagram for an Omex 710 ECU on a SpeedSix engine?

Furthermore, why are these two devices connected when installing an OMEX ECU, see pic below?
Presumably, they generate the RPM signal for the dashboard, right?
