Still getting to know my latest TVR.
Building up a list of stuff to be done under warranty at the next service including;
1. Blue sealing ring on 1 injector split.
2. Oil pressure sender blowing (TADTS).
3. Rubber seal on airbox cover split.
Can all these wait? Car is running OK so I reckon they should be OK.
Other things I've noticed;
1. Although there is an OBDII connector hidden in the passenger footwell, it doesn't talk to an OBDII cable so I presume the data is encrypted by MBE?
2. Fault codes and live data are viewable under service display settings - would be nice to know what the tables mean and maybe someone could write a small driver to display on a laptop.
3. Still no lights left on warning - TVR DO THIS PLEASE.
4. Accelerator pedal resistance is not firm enough - anyone had their's altered?
5. When does the petrol low warning come on? I tend to fill up at 10 litres but I would be happier leaving it until the warning sounded.
Overall impressions so far - outstanding car, TVR through and through.
I love the relative rarity of Tamoras. You can see people looking at it trying to see if it's a real car or a prototype. Haven't seen another one on the road since I got mine.
Forgot to add - alarm is not triggered by all doors, boot and bonnet (won't say which). Is this standard or is it faulty?

My Oil pressure switch is blowing oil out, works ok though. This is the second one i have had fitted. Thing is the factory can't get hold of them and i believe that new cars out of the factory have a modified version now?
You may have a long wait if you want the original, i am getting my dealer to upgrade mine the the latest spec.

There is in my car - late 2003 car. Occurs when you open the door, and erm... the lights are on. Bleep & message.

My car has this too! and very annoying it is, although better than not having them, like in the Chim!
I wonder if the sound settings need adjusting if you can't hear them, as far as I'm aware, all the ECUsand pods are near enough the same!

Mine too, but I have sounds turned down to zero so can just hear a faint buzz. Fine for me, I always look back at the car as I walk away (who doesn't?).
Oooo right - will have a play with my sound settings tomorrow.
Other thing I've noticed is that the dash screen always goes back to the one before 'main menu' after I switch off ignition.
I prefer the 4th right button display with speed and oil temp in large numerals.
I need to add this to the list for my service moans - no?

The screen going back to the 'default' screen on start up is normal, I like the one you mention also, it's not a fault though.(as far as I'm aware!)

We have a lights on warning on our car.
No idea about the low fuel warning, but like everyone else the fuel guage only shows a max of 54 Litres when full. I am advised by my dealer that the tank is definately only 55 litres.

I never noticed this before but now that you mentioned it I notice it all the time! Thanks! :P
Is there a setting to turn this on as there is definately no warning sound when my lights are on and either door is open...

No problems with my accelerator pedal. My drivers seat is prone to fly back under acceleration though (solution currently being looked into as it's not just my Tamora doing this)

I've noticed the warning coming on around 4 or 5 litres. When the petrol is this low it fluctuates from 1 - 10 litres depending on my right foot and the incline of the road so I tend to fill up at 10 litres.

This is one of the reasons I went for the Tamora this time around. The rarity is a definate plus and I've not seen one on the road ever.

My alarm is triggered by the doors, bonnet, boot, opening and closing the garage door, and sometimes when walking past! For the last two I've had the sensitivity reduced...

Mine's a Jan '02 Tamora:
I do have a dash warning and beep when I leave the lights on.
Fuel tank is 53 litres contrary to what the handbook says.
Low fuel warning display and beep are set to 4 litres.
The display that is remembered when you restart the car is the adjustable one on the right of page 3. Page 1 is always shown on startup.
Cheers.... Andrew

Thanks for the replies.
Now sorted the lights on warning - it sounds the buzzer and shows 'lights on warning' if the ignition is turned off and the lights are on.
However, if you turn off quickly you don't get the warning as the display is not powered.
I've started switching to accessories for a second until I see 'Tamora v6.1 shutdown' on the screen and then turn all the way off.
I reckon that this will make sure that my engine is the first to see 50,000 miles without a rebuild (that and only getting out on the passenger side with a bicycle clip on my left leg).
