Because I keep having a peek in the classifieds and they still have the ability to make my heart skip.

There's one for sale at the moment that is just so utterly devastating. I'm this (pinches finger and thumb together) close to ringing the guy up.

All this lust, despite the reasons that I sold mine, is why I hate them so much.

It hurts. Damn you TVRRRRRRRRR!

They are bad news neil, I know what you mean.

The T350's relentlessly stunning, there just is no respite! The one in your profile looks amazing.

Even though I have a Sagaris I'd have a t350 too if I could possibly justify it. Then I'd have a Tamora and a Cerbera 4.5 would be nice, then there's the mark 1 tuscan S....

It would be so nice to be able write TVR off and try and find a way to be happy in nice german car like everybody else, but they do have something that's hard to find elsewhere...

Isnt it an utter swine?

Never have I come across a marque with this ability.

There is nothing, not one thing that makes you feel like you do when in a TVR. Its just the heartache you, in more cases than not, have to put up with as part and parcel.

And 'er indoors would do her nut. She had to witness my reduction to a whimpering mess after the umpteenth time it went back to Blackpool.

Its automotive sexual masochism of the worst (best) kind.

Better not add to your distress by mentioning our brighter experience with later ones then....

By the way - noticed your Mustang; thinking of same for our family car (maybe even Roush-modded ). Please tell me you rate it!

Have you had "issues" then Paul? I'd be genuinely interested to hear (email me if you want to keep it off here).

Mustang? Sold it after a few months. You get a lot of car for the money and the V8 was great but it handled like a barge. Well, not that bad, but I don't think I lowered my expectations quite enough. Of course, there are plenty of after-market tuners who do an endless range of products to improve things - but at what expense? I'd racked up a shopping list of several grand before I stopped myself and though "This is getting a bit daft". I think its problems lie in the live rear axle but then die hard fans wouldn't have it any other way.

It was an itch I had to scratch.

I meant that I hadn't had many issues, compared to suffering of owners of earlier ones. Had the usual 1st 12mths list of pretty insignificant items. Only irritating ones are those that interfere with travel, IMO!

These were; duff alternator, schizoid immobiliser, pinhole leak in radiator - all fairly common with mainstream models too. Otherwise, 18mths of pure fun with most entertaining car I've had, and I'm not easily impressed. So I think you need another...!

Good to hear your view of Mustang. Hmmmm....maybe GT500 will be less barge, more barking

Neil - reasonably fault free T350s do exist. Mine hasn't failed to proceed in 12k (oo, big deal I hear some say, but that's all its done so far and includes track days and 3 trips to the contintent at high speed). A few paint glitches (rear light reseal, bit on one wong, fuel filler runnage area), a speedo sensor, an oil pressure sender (current one is seeping a smidge TBH, but it can stay until it pours or stops working!), aircon ECU went funny (aircon stayed on 100% of the time - good thing as we were in the South of France), thats it I think.

I remember your tales of woe and would like to think TVR won't build another one like that. I can't promise this is the case though. You defintely had a 'bad un'. A gambling man would rate your chances of getting a better one next time
