Is it me or does this corner of the forum seem to have more than its fair share of non-owners posting? I go to other PH main TVR forums, sometimes nipping down into the Tuscan, Speed Six or Chimaera forums out of interest. However, there seem to be a lot more people frequenting TTS who like to diss the cars and everything about them. (I don't mean the 'I'm looking to buy' threads - they're great.)

Get out there and buy one guys 'n gals or go back under your own rocks :)

Maybe its just me ...

I admit I am not a TVR owner, but I have learnt alot of things about TVR that I never knew before. (And about cars for that matter)

I visit other forums to learn and to read what people say about their pride and joy. It is all useful information and very interesting what folk post on this and/or other forums.

You're not the kind of person I'm talking about - the forum isnt private and there no harm in wanting to learn more about a car. Its those who come in and make silly comments that I am referring to (from the V8 TVRs forums, or other German forums (for instance)).

Must say I havent really noticed that sort of person posting. I have noticed a lot more activity with people buying (including us) or people looking to buy.

So what? If the nitwits want to post let em I say.

One isn't forced to rise to the bait!

I have an Audi TT, and I am not:

1) gay
2) a hairdresser
3) a girl

and neither do I worry about the piss taking.

If Speed 6 folk ignored the abuse similarly there'd be less trolls attacking!

I think it might be

I used to own a Tamora and still think about buying the T350, but when you mention 'dissing' maybe you’re taking some poster comments and mine a bit personal.

I recently said in another thread that I thought most people would prefer a GT3 RS over a Sagaris, this of course is my opinion and I don't own either. This produced various over the top comments from TVR owners, but its probably true in the real world. I try to avoid the cheap shots at TVR, but I do find some TVR owners are overly defensive to the point of childishness.

Don't forget this is a public board and I would hope most poster would be objective regardless of what section you’re using or what car you own, maybe it's too much to ask.

Also it seems to be the same people on the TVR section who are always in some sort of conflict with other poster about some thing or other.

I learnt a lot and made up my mind in the process, resulting in my having information to share. I went along to see Drive Style quite a few weeks ago to see if they could rustle up a colour of my dreams - and two weeks ago Craig phoned to say could they tempt me by way of FINANCE. For the first time ever, presumably, finance is being offered by a dealer in conjuction with TVR. They will tailor packages to suit the individual and it lasts until the year end.
I told Derek this and it will be going into Sprint. So if any people without a TVR wants to go out and buy one now, but hasn't quite got all the funds, this might be interesting. Craig and Steve will look around for you if they do not have the precise car you fancy and are great to chat to. I'm going to post this information now generally and hope to see lots of new TVR's around this part of Yorkshire.
