So, I have this dilemma...
Discussion
Right, Ive come across a problem.
As most of you have probably realised by now, Im not terribly good at the whole sane thing. Frankly even my beloved considers me more of a basket case than Jonny Wilkinson. For some reason she considers it dangerous if engineers are allowed to think without a responsible adult telling them *what* to think about.
Needless to say when I mentioned about my Supercharged, Carbon bodied, software enhanced Sagaris idea, her first comment was..."you've been thinking again, havent you dear?". Anyway, you get the idea.
Unfortunately she even recognises the glazed eyes & little smile I do when Im starting to think about something interesting...and she just says "No" out loud.
So, do I keep with the whole fun plane thing, hooning the Sagaris around, down south life.
or...
Do I sell the Sagaris, sell the house, quit the job and go and rebuild the Castle I want to buy in Scotland?
Oh and how do I tell her if I choose the latter option?
Without it hurting? Much.

From what I've gathered from your posts you've got a well-paid job you enjoy, and a lifestyle (cars, house) to match. And all at the relatively young age of 29 (same here).
I'm lucky enough to be in a very similar position (also have the gorgeous GF that thinks I'm stark raving
) and have come to the conclusion that a well-paid job that you enjoy is a rare thing indeed. I plan to stick at it until I become bored of it, having made my millions
and only then to move on to other 'projects'. Whether it's 5, 10, 15 years who knows? PP
Edited to say: Moving up t'north? Better get your

Kurgen...funny you should mention OCD! The fiancee and I both call each other Freak (albeit in a mildly affectionate way) because we have both got mild OCD. Everything has to be even for her, she cant leave something on an odd number. For this reason alone (no seriously) I cant have an Alfa because of their odd numberplates. She will literally refuse to get in one.
I also have a whole load of telltales I do that I had never realised for yrs until she started pointing them out to me. Ive tried changing the behavior and I cant do it, it is very strange. She loves to wind me up about them, evil moo!
PP...I aint paid that much, I just work very long hours! Getting a little bit sick of it now. It is OK when you are a single bloke and you can fit the rest of your life in around it all reasonably simply. Once you are engaged/married though, it becomes a different ball game and your old life has to go out of the window.
Still, had to smile last night, I got a little comment in bed.."so, er, when do I get to drive the car again?"
, she is comming round

Don't show her that the car has an odd number of white/red lights at the rear then...
I hope there are some odd numbered things she likes about you!

Don't sell the Sagaris and go to Scotland. The roads up there will make you want to sell the castle and go and get another Sagaris.
and the property market isn't what it used to be is it?
I took a good job for granted and it took me three years to get another one as good. Last time I'll be doing that.
I had to drive an S2000 for a while for crying out loud! It really is that bad!

Christ on a stick! An S2000? How the hell did you cope?
The only car in the world that sounds like a moped on acid.
So....there you will be sitting in your beautiful Castle all renovated and decorated....
Swanning around in a home that's far too big lots of rooms and high ceilings and only the two of you....
No job...No Sagaris...but a lovely home.
Then..you look out of the window, at those long, winding roads and ...now I ask you....what will you be thinking.....
