Looking at the classifieds there are a hell of a lot of T350's for sale at the moment: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/list.asp?p=1&s=267

Is it just the time of year? I am considering selling mine as my other half has had to sell her car and we can't really fit the bikes/surfboards in the T350!

Also noticed that the prices are dropping to £24-£26k for the high milers. Do you think these will improve next year? Or should I join the bandwagon and add my pride and joy to the list?!

Prices rarely go up.. they have been at this level for a while (3 month's) - I'm sure that next year they will drop a little further too.

The T350 is the best car TVR have made for ages and is under valued (second hand) IMHO.

If you look I would say there is a lot of panic selling. If you want a Std T350, and you are not too fussed about the colour, then lots out there.

The thing I have noticed is that the Tuscan S still seems to be higher priced and static, which means with supply and demand, premuims can be held for the 4.0ltr variant.

TVR's are usually lower prices at this time of year if people want to offload them before the winter months. The prices tend to firm up about Feb March time, historically, so now is a good time to buy a car.

I sold my first Chimaera in November, for the same price that I bought it for in the summer, so the trend can be bucked sometimes...

I have just parted company with mine. Its been one of the most difficult cars I have had to shift. Dealers were just turning me down left right and centre, one a TVR specialist even said he would not touch it with a barge pole, the s6 engine causes him to many headaches. Even against a GT3 at £65k which I would have thought would have had plenty of margin I was insulted with a PX of £22k for a car that was a year old

Disappointing indeed. But I guess you swallowed the cost like a man. Otherwise you could have just kept the car for another year or two when it would still be worth 18-20k. Your choice. (Not defending depreciation etc. here, just commenting).

I actually walked away with a nats short of 30 for the car in the end which I thought was very reasonable, also considering I only paid £38 for her. When you buy cars they all loose money all us big boys here should know that by now.

I was just surprised that the best car to come from Blackpool so far I had to work hard to part with.

I am lucky I was moving on to another marque as I would not want in the present market to be trying to sell a T350 privately to try and get my cash out of the garage so to speak, hard work and possibly painfull.

Thanks for the responses.

I guess I better get the camera out - looks like it may take a while to find a buyer with so many out there.

I think the thing that stops the T350 selling quicker is the S6 engine reliability issues fact or fiction. I currently have a Cerbera 4.5 and it has made me think twice about a T350 or Sagaris ...... overall i think they are a great car, excellent road manners but there is always that doubt at the back of your mind.

30k back from 38k? I'd say you did really well and that TVR's don't depreciate nearly as badly as everyone thinks if this is the case.

I've lost a lot more than that on many a car.

And my friend did worse on a year old Porsche 996 Carrera 2. He paid over 60k and got back less than 50k, yeah yeah percentages etc.

I don't care much about percentage depreciation, only about real money depreciation. Why? Because I took a relatively small percentage drop on a ferrari 355 I bought new and trust me that stung like a goodun!

That I have to say was an issue for me. The car only had a 1 year warranty that was about to expire.

Ok
The S6 engine was crap to start with.

I traded in my 4.2 cerb for a T350 and engine wise it has been faultless and a lot more reliable than my old cerb. Hasen to adsd that my cerb had no engine faults just a load of other things Ahhhh!, and yes I still bought another TVR. Give the engine a knock a rest lads. Plus it bloody fast!!!!

I would have thought that the approved tvr warranty should help with confidence in the 2nd hand market and therefore help firm prices.
£ 1900 for 2 years with wear and tear include, thats a good deal if you ask me
