Hood cover (shower cap) for Tam
Discussion
I'm hoping one of the fraternity can help me. I'm looking for a hood cover/shower cap for a Tamora and have been unable to find a manufacturer than produces such a thing. Leven do produce hood covers for Griffs, Chims and Tuscans but strangely not Tams, does anyone known if any of the Leven hood covers/shower caps will fit a Tamora. Heres hoping.
James,
It is the Sun Mate that I have. The elastic is a little tight over the door morrors at first and the rear lip that traps in the boot lid is obviously designed for an MGF, but i just roll it up and sit in the boot channel, boot lid traps it fine.
I see the price is now £45.00, (I seem to have a habbit of underestimating prices, must be the optimist in me!!)
John.

Think this thread has been done before on here?
I have a MGF cover from Mike Satur, fits Tam perfectly. Will fit with hood up or down, made from Silver reflective waterproof material, keeps interior cool in sun, bird SH1T out etc..
Cost about £35 quid.
I am buying Chan an MGF Trophy 160 next week, and she was asking about hood covers (the Tam takes priority for garage space!
), I'll get one of those hood covers from Mike satur!

V generous of you - glad my missus doesn't read these forums
LOL, well, she was going to have a brand new Clio 182 earlier this year, but because of the economic situation within my industry, we decided to cancel, just in case! However, things arn't as bad as suspected after a visit to my employers in Italy last week, and I now have enough work for a lifetime! Plus Chan said at the time that if my engine needed a rebuild, we couldn't afford it, so she decided not to have the 182 (what a wife!) She needs another car now, though, as she is changing jobs, so an MGF Trophy 160 (which I loved when I had one!) is the least I can do - and they're such a bargain at the mo, can pick up a 2001 model with 20K on the clock for around £6K! Wish I had kept my Mike Satur roll hoop windstop and alloy heater knobs now! lol

Chris buy quick,
I was offered 14K for mine (now wifes) a short while ago (for a collector) there were only a few made they are almost as rare as the Tam. I think it was the best version by far and good fun to drive too.
So you too have both a Tropy 160 and Tam!

Yes, will be ringing up a couple of potential bargains this w/e. I loved the Trophy, hated the TF160 (for some reason, it was slower and didn't handle nearly as good as the Trophy!)I traded it in for (part exed that within 6 months for a Chim, but lost a shed load of dosh!) I will try the cover on my Tam too, when I get it, may come in useful for when we go on holiday in the Tiv! (am pretty sure we'll not lose a penny in depreciation buting at this silly price for such a good, very underestimated sportscar!)

A bit of a blast from the past, I finally got home and tried the sun mate cover, it works a treat, excellent for keeping the frost and snow off as well. I was amazed that I even managed to get the ol" roof down a few days as well.
Cool
, We got one for Chans Trophy 160 too, £35 (inc.p&p) from the MGF Centre!, it certainly does the job!Gassing Station | Tamora, T350 & Sagaris | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
