I'm going to sell my Cerbera 4.5 and buy a Sagaris, and wondered what people's opinions are on colours (I've been thinking about either black metalic or Red Glow Pearl); my Cerbie is grigio titanio, which is lovely, but I don't want to go the silvery/greyish/bluey route this time.

Also, does anyone know what changes the Sagaris has gone through since it was launched? I know the seats and the boot opening mechanism have changed, and perhaps the indicator stalks, but is there anything else I should know when considering new versus used?

Cheers, Matt

Hi Matt,

Only other things I can think of is that allegedly the Sagaris can be ordered without the wing vents (i.e smoothed over) and you can do away with the rear 'glass' spoiler (higher top speed/better acceleration over 130?). There's also talk of them changing the side-facing exhausts to rear facing for the benefit of the foreign markets. However IIRC these are all options at the mo.

Hi Matt,

I ordered a Sagaris in the Netherlands a few weeks ago. The dealer told me that it is comming in March 2006 but I also wonder what kind of car I get in March. Nobody (even the dealer) can give me an answer what TVR has changed the last months. Exhaust? Vents? Seats? I made a testdrive with a British (right stearing wheel) Sag. They told me that this was the car that I should get so I made the order. But now there are a lot of speculations. I think it is very bad for the customers and also for the brand TVR. I think that TVR better can give some answers to kill these "stories".

I went to see a used one today - an 05 plate - and was at the factory the other day. The seats are now the Tuscan seats rather than the slimmer, bucket seats in earlier versions, which I guess is just a move to consolidate parts. Also, the boot now has a button above the registration plate, rather than the Sagaris badge being the button, and the boot has a different handle.

I was told that the black rubber inset around the bonnet may be changed soon, because it does look a bit odd with some paint colours. And as you said, I was also told that it may become an option to order it with ventless/gashless panels, but that's speculation, I believe.
