There's a lovely silver Tam (05) parks on a drive round the coner from me sometimes. Anyway drove past it this afternoon thinking .. they do look good.. and wow aren't those rear relectors bright. Wait a minute the lights are on, silly me. Came back a couple of hours later lights still on. Pulled over and knocked on the door to alert the owner.
Turns out it's the guys parents house and is stored there temporarily so explain the situation to owners mum who understandably is not keen to mess with 'that car'. I offer to turn the lights off if she gives me the keys and thinking back this was a crazy request.. the lady doesn't know me from a bar of soap and she's being asked to handover her sons car keys... oops. I give her my keys as security and point at my Cerby parked over the road so she feels a little beter and hands them over.
Could I turn the lights off, could I f@ck, side lights stayed on no matter what.
Drove past later that evening and saw the owner so pulled over again and explained about what had gone on ealier, it must have sounded a bit odd when his mum explained about some bloke asking for his car keys. As we chatted hey presto the lights turned them selves off, wierd or what?
If you're on here I hope you stick with it as it's a stunning looking car.
Good luck
Cheers

It's funny what you do to help people out without thinking....

I was driving home from work in the Omega and saw an elderly gent who was struggling with a huge parcel obviously purchased from B&Q on the outskirts of town.
It was a lawn mower in a box.
He had propped it on his cycle but it was falling off and he was getting into a mess with it.

So...I pulled over and offered to deliver it to his house so he could cycle home.

We both knew though that it would take him a week to get home the way he was going....so with huge reluctance he ageed and I said I would wait with the parcel till he arrived to make sure no-one stole it!!!!

It was only whilst I was sitting waiting for him that it occured to me he would be rushing home in case I had nicked it!!!

The look of relief on his face was classic as he came rushing round the corner pedalling as fast as he could.

Hi Pauline, nobody needs two lawn mowers but a fixed head and convertible TVR, now that's a different matter.
Cheers

Are you sure that wasn't "Hey presto, the battery is flat"?
