Hi, I'm fairly new to the TVR thing and am possibly thinking of buying a T350. Been reading lots about them so I am not going to ask what to look for but I think my next step is a test drive. How do I go about this when I don't really know if I want one or not? I don't want to waste anyones time just yet.

Well unless you test drive one, you never will know!!!

Just ring your local dealer, they will be more than happy to give you a spin in one.

Get down to your dealer and jump in one! I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

Go for it - they are superb to drive.

Easily the best TVR ever made and a great bargain at the moment ..

When we weren't sure if we wanted one, actually, we knew we wanted one, we weren't sure if MrsHobbit could drive one, being 5'0", we just called Peninsula, and they were really helpful. We went down there, looked at the cars, they had a technician available to adjust things to see if MrsHobbit could drive comfortably, and once we worked out that she could, they were happy to help, and not pushy.
That was a couple of years ago now, and they recently helped us trade from the Chim they sold us back then, to the T350t we have now.

I had the dame dilema, but 'Mr Hobbit' above kindly took me out in his and it convinced me to go for it without question! (thank you again Karl!) I took a trip down to Peninsula TVR and spent the afternoon with Allan Williams the sales guy, test driving, discussing money, and options of new against used, eventually I ended up ordering a brand spanking new one (see my profile for pics).

Not once have i regretted it, and IMO the T350 is the best looking car on the road today. Go for it, is all i can say!

My fears were justified yesterday, I rang a couple of dealers, Peter Smith who had not got a demonstrator and TMS were not interested in test drives unless I was interested in their cars which I am not, I want to buy privately. I will ring HHC next and see what they have to say.

And why would you want to tell them that - you have a serious amount of money to spend - it's up to them to persuade you to either spend more or spend it differently.

There are alot of T350's for sale at the moment. Why buy privately?
I think that if you have no part x you may well be able to screw a good deal from a dealer, they tend to have a large margin in some of the cars on the forecourt.

I would not buy a T350 without a warranty. I had no real problems with mine, but its just peace of mind.

Touch wood, not had any problems with ours worth mentioning, but its nice knowing I have the balance of the factory warantee *and* the dealer warranty.
