No more tuscan - hello sagaris
Discussion
Hi..
A while back I posted on this forum mainly to the t350 owners as to what in their considered opinion was the best model to go for t or c? (this was a car I had driven and loved) the only problem was how I would feel without the ability to take the roof off following my time with the tuscan (thanks for all your replies btw.
It took me a while but I finally got there..I test drove a sagaris (which was the ultimate plan albeit a little while down the line) and I took the plunge and plumped for the sagaris...
so on saturday I said goodbye to my tuscan :-( and then ordered my new sagaris at TVR castle...
I know this is going to sound sad but Im excited, nervous and giggly all of a sudden (trust me if you knew me - giggly would not be a word you would link me with!)
anyway just wanted to say hello and to tell Pauline (yellow peril) I promise to do better this time at coming along to the essex meets!
Cheers
Sarah

Hi guys...
Dave - I remember Diane's/your car from the few infrequent visits I made - it was beautiful and got me thinking along the t350 lines originally
Initital thoughts on colour - hmmmm I was so certain it was going to be moonlight black with black and cream interior with black wheels initially but following a few weeks pondering I went back to the colour I truly love albeit an oldie...rolex blue pearl with a purple and black interior and black wheels...
Delivery date is the 1st March (my choice) and given that she will be my daily driver I should have her nicely run in for Le Mans 2006 :-)

And I should think so too!
Hi Sarah
Congratulations....you're not going to regret it.
The Sagaris is a great car. I only wish I could use ours as a daily drive but it would be parked up amongst trade vehicles coming and going every day.
There are a number of Mid Essex peeps with deliveries due in March. I think we will have a special Meet in April for you all.
Looking forward to hearing about it as she is being built...next thing to do is book a factory visit.
Last time we went a return flight to Blackpool was £2.50 from Stanstead! Apparently I didn't do too well as a friend going up next month has got hers for 2p each way!
Send me all the details piccies and contact numbers for the Tuscan and I'll add them to my database.

Thanks Guys - I certainly cant wait until March I have to admit at the moment all I do is
to myself like an idiot
Pauline - April sounds like a plan
Definitely going to try and get up the blackpool whilst she is being built and the travel costs sound like a bargain. Will have a nose around for how cheap I can get a flight although I think I may struggle to beat yours and your friends prices though...
Oh well only 97 days to go.......and counting.....

Nice one Sarah - apparently the waiting makes it all the better!!!!
I'm still besotted with the 'Gris - no dilution of that feeling since August this year.
(But I was far too impatient - sat in one on a Saturday, picked mine within a week or so - and hardly got out of it since!!!)
Perhaps the fabled "Sagaris Owners Meet" should take place down your way in the Spring when yours has arrived. What thinks you YP?

You would all be more than welcome.
We had a great Sagaris Meet earlier this year.
I can offer a long drive full of safely parked TVRs, a great carvery meal and some good company.
Sshhhh....
We won't tell DJC and Pits (where is Pits lately?) that its a TVRcc Meet and we'll stuff them in a corner so they don't have to talk to anyone else!
:Yup....I'm up for that no probs......
We can have all the Sagaris and Tuscan Converts to the top of the drive.

I'm here Peril having just returned from a trip to Hong Kong. Great place but no TVRs in sight as you might expect.
Congratulations to Sarah on deciding to buy a Sagaris, it's a seriously impressive, very sorted car as you might have already gathered. I too would ideally have liked something with an open roof but with the sort of speeds the Sagaris is capable of on straights and round corners a roof and full roll cage is probably the way to go.
Well done also for supporting one of the last great british sports car makers.
I can remember feeling excited but a bit reckless when I ordered my car. To be honest I didn't want one at all but the prototype made me write out a deposit cheque! I literally had no control over my hand! I'd decided that I wouldn't buy another car from new, but the degree of colour customization with TVRs makes it seem slightly less daft, that and the mega warranty.
You can spend an awful lot more money and have an awful lot less fun in my experience!
Enjoy!

Welcome back Pits....
rpa...how about the April Meet.......9th April 2006.
Couple of Mid Essex peeps expecting delivery of Converts in March, so should be interesting to have both at the top of the drive.
I'll keep it in mind and post again nearer the date....
Pits.....put this date in your diary mate.....

Ok Peril, if the car and I are around I'll see what I can do. But what with living in france and all, it may be tricky. The lure of the nurburgring may prove to be stronger but I do keep the car in the UK and chances are it won't be out in Paris that early in the season. I have to admit to being curious to put faces to ph call signs or whatever the technical term is.
More to the point, with the increasing number of laydeez who are into TVRs it might help my girlfriend see the light. Currently she'd love me to be in something a bit more low key and seems to feel car sick every time she goes in it, saying it feels like a fair ride (which of course it does)! You should have seen the way I was driving the hire car we used to visit Normandy on rememberance day, I was so hoping she'd feel car sick in that to prove it wasn't the TVR and that it was her fault! But alas no joy!

Progress Update:
Well I was completely useless in organising my factory tour due to work commitments but finally got off my backside earlier this week and rung the factory to see when I could go up. I was told that I was more than welcome to go up for the tour but I wouldnt be able to see my car on the production line
...... as it was finished and had been shipped to my dealers at the beginning of the week (woohoo
) so i rang my dealers to be told it had arrived so I asked if I could "pop in" and have a look. my initial reaction when I got there was "wow thats definitely purple!" I have taken some photos to keep me going for the next 5 weeks and I was really chuffed with the exterior although the pics dont really do it justice as its in the workshop.
I think I may have got carried away a little with the purple on the interior and I know it wont be everyones choice but hey its my car and Im the one thats gotta drive it
as soon as I figure out how to post pics I will post a couple up - roll on march!!!!!
Cheers
