I'm thinking of fitting a sports exhaust to my Tamora. Although it's already noisier than 99% of things on the road and can't quite feel a little disappointment that it doesn't sound as good as the old Chim's and Griffith's.

There seems to be a load of different sport exhausts available out there. Does anybody have a recommendation? I'm looking for something with lots of grunt and plenty of snap crackle and pop!

Thanks

Ceecee.

There are a few of us that have the TVR Power Super Sports exhaust. LOUD and plenty of poppin' and banging. I had mine painted black so it's more of a stealth exhaust....

Went out the mini owners club today, they loved the exhaust. TVR Power Super Sports is good!! You can here it on this link www.tvrtamora.com/sounds/sound.cfm

I've got the Racing Green sports exhaust : just measured the db last night : it's 106 db @ 4500 rpm.

I've heard that the Racing Green Sports Exhaust and TVR Power Super Sports Silencers are the same? Is that true?

I have the TVR Power Super Sports Silencers fitted on mine ceecee and there's certainly more crackle and pop than the standard unit. Its also louder than the 'standard' sports exhaust available from Power. I note you're in Notts too so if you ever want to listen before you buy then drop me a line.

I believe so - they both resemble baked bean cans

With all the popping and fartings - other similarities exist too

I would think that most of the aftermarket sports pipes are the JP item.

I've got the JP one too and can recommend it, although some have said its almost too loud.

Did you have a listen when I was parked up near you at Le Mans? I can't remember.

They all sound pretty good to be honest - you can't go too far wrong.

Think I paid about £350 for mine, plus probably a bit of labour to get it on.

Hi Jimmyt

How's it going? I didn't get chance to hear the exhaust at Le Mans but I remember you saying how much it improved the car and I've been thinking about getting one ever since. I think the TVR Power Super Sports sounds great so I might be going for that one.

Are you heading to Le Mans next year? I'm going with a couple of mates and we'll be staying in Bleu this time.

Hi ceecee,

Not sure about Le Mans yet. The car's up for sale and I've got England World Cup Tix for Germany which may clash.

However, if I've still got the car, I'd love to go again. Probs stay in the same place as found it slightly quieter than bleu.

Good luck with the exhaust - keep us updated over which one you choose. This upgrade is a must!

I have the TVR power exhaust, would recommend it. I believe the ACT burbler exhaust is similar if not same, (look same?), not sure about Racing Green.
