Yea or nay?

I'm starting to think I should have them removed. Photos I've seen of Sagari without do seem to look better to me but I've yet to see a car in the flesh sans rubbers.

I'd appreciate the views of other owners who've either kept them on or had them removed.

And please no cheap condom gags!

Get them off!! Looks tidier: HHC did a good job on 6K service, provided a couple of pads in the right places, and now coming up to 10K and no problems.

Pits, check the TVRCC model forum - good discussion there.

They now come from the factory without rubber, and I agree that it looks better. It depends on the paintwork colour, though, 'cause with some darker colours the rubber doesn't stand out too much. In terms of practicality, I don't think they can be doing a lot. (After all, what's the point of sealing the bonnet edges it's got all those gaps anyway?)

It's a moot point. Does anyone have any idea why rubbers were fitted in the first place? I've also heard that they come with or without from the factory on a completely random basis.

In my experience the glue can't stand up to a hot summer's day when combined with a hot bonnet temps.

That said, when people go for top speed runs I've seen they tape over the bonnet shut lines. I'm pretty sure I prefer the car without them to look at but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't making a mistake before instructing the dealer.

I'm the same as you, not sure if I should go for them removing or not. It is the heat that melts the glue so should not be a problem now until next summer.

The car it hard enought to clean without having extra bit to get into to remove the road dirt. But that's just my opinion.
