So, where do you guys get your insurance from? and how much are you being quoted?

I tried confused.com and they all came back unable to ensure!

How much do you think it would cost for a T350 on the basis of:

I'm 24, been driving for 4 years, 0 years no claims (been a named driver for 4).

Many thanks.

I think you'll find (and I may be wrong) that most mainstream insurers require at least one years experience of driving a 'performance' car before considering you for the likes of a T350?!

Not always the case, I went from an E30 BMW 316i straight to a Cerbera 4.5 at 24years - only one insurer asked about me having 'experience' with high performance cars.

As for best insurance, I was with Sunninghill for three years (the cheapest for three years running). However this year on the Sagaris they ended up being one of the most expensive. I'm currently with Privilege.

Sainsbury's were by far the best for me.

I used MSM for the Sagaris as they insured my Ultima for me.

Also added my wife to the policy for another £140 (she's just turned 30).

As stupid as it may sound, Tescos insurance was as cheap as chips for me by a long way.

Ok guys, but what about figures? how much is it costing you?

Try Privilege. They never asked me any questions about my experience with High Performance cars.

I am with Privilege who were the cheapest by FAR! The nearest other quote was £1300.

Brand new T350T
28 y/o
6 yrs n/c
Garaged in a BS1 postcode
1x SP50

= £850 fully Comp & protected no claims

To be honest though, If i were an insurance company I wouldn't insure you. Even though you may have 4 years, you are only 24 (god i sound old now!) and there is nothing in writing to say about your 4 yrs, and I wouldn't know you from Adam. The T350 is a tricky beast at the best of times, so to insure somebody with no history would be suicidal from a business POV. If you do get a quote, I would expect it to be minimum of £3-£4k a year.

T350 a "tricky beast" at the age of 24 ?? Try a Cerbera 4.5 lightweight at 18 thats what you call tricky, im a named driver on my dads insurance for obvious reasons and when I had the Cerb that was £5k per year @ 18 which seems reasonable to me??, being insured on a 206cc, C70 and a BMW 330ci cabrio previously.

Im not sure the exact figure of the new insurance but im sure its sticking to a simular figure with the T350. Ill find out the company, family friend is an individual agent for a big insurance company so im not really sure.

I got my T350 when I was 24 as well. I had lost all my no claims as my last car was stolen but Elephant didn't seem to mind. I have stayed with them as they are the cheapest I could find. I think this year is 1200 or 1300 fully comp, limited miles.

I take out their 10 month policies which means you get a whole years no claims at the end of the term (transferable, and you only pay the 10 month cost)- very useful for someone who needs to build up their no claims.

Insurance was around £1400 IIRC, dropped down to about £1100 after a couple of years. Current premium is approx £850 for the Sagaris (29yrs old).

The company is basically a full service advertising agency with a bias towards creative design. Doing OK

Thanks guys, I will try Elephant.co.uk and I'll ring a few of the insurers rather than get online quotes.

Elephant.co.uk quoted:
£2700 fully comp
Would not insure TPFT
£1400 TP

I dont live in an area where its likley to be nicked, so do you think I should go with TP?

Or, if I wait untill Im 25 in august, it'll be £2000 FC or £1000 TP

Try Adrian Flux for a quote. They were quick, efficient and importantly cheap!

I'm 30 with lots of no claims. ~£750 fully comp and protected. Interestingly it was cheaper to insure the Tam than my S2000! Less nickable i suppose.

£600, 6 years NCB, no points - Tescos!

But... I'm awaiting a court action for speeding so that's all about to change

TP on a T350 What if you (god forbid) have an accident and damage the car?
