Battery inspection cover / how long to charge ?
Discussion
To cut a very long story short, I finally got my t350 going yesterday after letting the battery go flat. 3 failed attempts involving immobiliser issues, breaking into the car and leaving the jump leads at home makes my success yesterday very satisfying. Having had to remove the battery inspection cover to resolve the immobiliser issue I have noticed I have one bolt and one screw holding the flap into place. Can someone please confirm if this is correct or whether I should have two screws or two bolts? Secondly the battery was so flat that every time attempted to start from a Range Rover it stalled the Rangy!!!
Eventually when we revved it up it managed to start but still took 3000rpm out of the rev range. So battery obviously very flat. Now connected to Accumate - does anyone know how long this should take to fully charge the battery?

Fixings are correct, one bolt one screw, with regard to how long it will take to charge using an accumate do not know as this is really a trickle charger, does this not have a series of lights to let you know the charge state?.
If it took some starting as you describe this may be due to a bent plate within the battery, but would only really apply to a battery that is 3 years old or more.
When you place a large load on the battery, such as starting the plates can bend, if so the battery will start losing charge very easy.
