Not starting!?! help

Massive snow in Kent overnight. Cleared 6 inches of snow off this morning, tried to start to warm up and ensure all was ok.

Key in. Fuel pump buzzes etc. LCDs working fine. All seems fine.

Turn key. Loud grating noise from block area. No starter motor. No ignition. Nothing.

AA called. 2 hour wait.

any ideas guys? this is my first real winter with a TVR - help!

I had the same symptoms but different situation (no snow):

cf thread: HELLO AND ASSITANCE PLEASE - TAMORA NO START. July this year. Fellow Tamora owners were very helpful.

My problem was a loose fuse. Fuse array in a Tamora is on the drivers side (not sure what car you have).... if the AA are dumbfounded this is worth a look. Fuse 16 rings a bell.... (but not sure).

... I might have got a step further than your problem though... my starter motor did have a bash at trying to start the car (chunk, chunk noise), just failed.... so maybe not much help.
