Has anyone made any improvements to the interior lighting in a T350? The luggage space light illuminates that area but no light manages to make it into the main cabin. I was thinking of fitting something in the footwells.

Any idea where I could pick up the wiring for the interior light to run into the footwells?
Any other suggestions?

Cheers,
Martin

Crap isnt it - doesn't even fit in its housing properly. I'd suggest looking under the glovebox area for wires going up the A pillar. The glovebox is supposed to just pull out - not sure if it will cause any damage on your car.

I have heard of people installing LED lighting in their footwells - sounds like the best idea.

Did a trial lighting up the footwells but still not much light in the cabin really, so I am now thinking about just fitting a light on the leading side of the same piece of trim that has the boot space light - there is space there and the wiring's right there because of the boot light.

I'm thinking of making up a small polished alu block with three white LEDs fitted - should be more in keeping with the aluminium trim rather than just fitting something similar to the existing boot space light there.

If you're going to that trouble why not try 'upgrading' the original light? Wouldn't high intensity white leds do the trick here as well - if you solve the problem then I'm sure they'd be a few takers on here if it only means swapping over the fitting -just a thought.
