Seems to happen only after a good few miles once everything has warmed up. Any ideas what this might be?

Cheers

Carl long time no see
Sounds like clutch or seals check your fluid level(above the pedal box)
How many miles you done and has the car been laid up for a while?
Give me a shout if you need any help and i will pop round (assuming you are still in Hillhead?)

Hey Tony,

Yes it's been a while. The 16K service was just done and fluid levels were checked, it's gonna go back to the dealer next week but i wanted to get an idea what the heck might be wrong i hope whatever it is it'll be under warranty!

Sounds more like an alignment problem to me.

Had exactly the same problem but in a Cerbera but I beleive we share the same clutch. Initial thoughts were broken clutch fingers. It turned out to be a broken spring on the friction plate causing the plates to drag.
Needed a whole new clutch even though the part looked easily and cheaply repairable, clutch had only done 7,000 miles and looked like new.
Hope you get it sorted.
Cheers
David

drove the car a couple times over the last day or so and found that the issue is intermittent, sometimes effecting other gears too, i can sometimes hear a rubbing sound when i engage a gear at standstill coming from the transmission tunnel area. the broken spring theory sounds good.

Just had a call from the dealer and the problem was broken "fingers" – will be fixed under warranty.
