rubber windscreen strip
Discussion
Was out for a spin at the weekend and the rubber strip along the top of the windscreen has come away. I've temporarily taped it back down with insulating tape to stop it flapping and vibrating but does anyone know what the best adhesive would be to stick it back down properly? Would super glue be ok or do you need some proper stuff?
Thanks in advance.

I stuck mine down with rubber contact adhesive. It's been fine since.
You will get the Spanish inquisition at B&Q though and will have to do the "I'm not a pikey test" before they will unlock the cupboard and sell you some.
LOL, sometimes, I feel we bought something like an 'almost ready to display' model of a die-cast car, you still have to put a few things in place before you can display it!

Use the black silicon rubber that is used to seal the spark plug metal cover on the speed six engines.
If you cant find it, your dealer should sell you a tube for about £6.00

Well i spoke to my dealer on saturday when it happened and they re-assured me the strip is just trim and doesn't hold the windscreen in or anything. They said to bring it in to be re-bonded but just thought i'd ask on here as it seems like something i could do myself if i know what to use.
