I've noticed over the last couple of weeks that if my rear window steams up and I put the rear demister on it doesn't seem to do anything!?!

Is this normal or is it actually not functioning at all?

Michael

PS. Been driving the car to work everyday for the last week It really does just get better!

I don't think that's right Michael. They should clear pretty quickly, however sometimes I need to turn mine on twice as it times out to soon. It is the same little button that activates the heated mirrors. Perhaps you need to check that the terminals are still connected to the screen. Hope that this helps, Tony

I'll second that, mine didn't seem to work either, until my bro noticed the terminal was disconnected. It was up near the roof line on the inside, on the passenger side. I've since reconnected it. It's a very simple job, even for me!

Had the same problem, one of the leads/connectors had parted. Slid it back on but there are occassions when it has not worked.
Will check when I go off for my usual bimble around at lunchtime. Never bothered before the 'Gris. Now an essential part of the day.

When I used the heated rear screen in the Autumn after taking delivery mine too wasn't working, but the mirrors were demisting.

Reason? I checked the fuse box and found the fuse for the heated rear screen was in the electric lumbar support (which I don't have). Pulled it out and put it in the correct one. Sorted!
