Hell yes! Nice straight dual carriageway on exit from a roundabout, perfect 2nd gear territory. This was no lazy, easy pulling away from petrol station job this time, the pedal was burried in the carpet when we went light voer a crest, her arse was squirming and twitching Straightened herself more or less immediately, I didnt even have to turn the wheel, she just powered her way out of the slide, gripped and went. More and more and more I think this vehicle is something close to a work of genius!

Oh and I was also given what can only be taken as a little bit of a hint for the like of you and me. At the dealership today and I was looking at a cracking RC Tuscan 2 'vert and talking to the boss man about it. We both liked it and I mentioned that this was a proper Grif replacement and as such I was very interested in it and might well consider one as the next TVR. He looked at me, umm'd and ahh'd, and said well dont decide anything yet, there might be something that would interest you coming soon over the next few months. Cue raised eyebrows and that "man to man" smile thing all round. I did explicitly ask if it was the Supercharged Sagaris Ive kept saying TVR will build, but he wouldnt be anymore forthcoming. Sounds promising though! I need to dig in the sources at the factory!

no because obviously 90mph would be illegal on the Uk roads and only somebody would be *really* stupid to confirm as such in writing on the public board.

...even if 90mph it is well within the reach of second gear....

by thunder a supercharged Sagaris would be mental! But it would provide all the pr TVR could eat. Imagine Autocar's 0-100-0 challenge. The standard Sag did a mighty impressive job (0-100 in virtually 9 seconds dead, and was within a whisker of the Noble M400's overall time which costs 65k by the way) the supercharged one would walk it. If Lotus is anything to go by the supercharger for the exige costs another 8k, fitted. That's quite a lot on top of a standard Exige but if TVR can keep the upgrade under 10k, they'll have a winner on their hands. We already know the chassis can handle more power. I just fear they won't sell many if the price escalates far over 70k.

But it would be nice for people to quake in fear at the TVR badge again....

I really hope TVR do something like this. I also hope they fit Racelogic traction control to help us make use of the power! (Turn on and offable of course).

So, what type of supercharger unit are we talking about?
Anything off the shelf that would do, or are we starting from scratch here?

I've been nagged by quite a few people about this: several friends have Firebirds, Evo's and others that they are playing around with, and are really curious about the 'Gris and any potential mods.

Is it TVR Power that I should be talking to?
