Just wondering how many T350C/T owners actually use the rear window heater, as i am on my second one now, and found out at the weekend that the second one has burned out adjacent to the terminal connector. So does anyone know of a complete rear window for my T350C, or know how much a new one is?
I think that i have only used it once in about a year since having it fitted.

During the last few months I've been using every trip mainly, usually pressing it several times, to clear the mirrors. No problems.

As for a replacement, could it be covered under the glass insurance?

Is it possible to repair? I know you can buy a pen especially for mending the heater elements (from Haulfrauds).

I use mine, but possibly not as often as you. I use it if it needs demisting ... I have another car for daily driving though.

How does it actually 'burn out'? What fails? The actual wires stuck to the screen itself?

Looking at mine, it looks like its kinda painted on.

Any chance you can post a pic of the problem area?

I would of loved to use mine but sadly it had never worked until last week.

The dealer found that the relay was missing!! Light came on but it never cleared.

Mine didn't have a fuse! Some muppet at the factory thought it'll be fun to put it in the next fuse slot (I found it plugged into seat lumbar/heating whichever it is).

It has burned out right next to where the terminal joins the element. and there is a small burned area.

Sounds like its getting too much juice to me, I can't think what else would cause that. Maybe something is faulty back 'up the wire'?

Trouble is these are 30 amp fuses IIRC but strangely I've found that it can blow the fuse marked no 25 (10 amp). This knocks out the speedo, heater speed, mirrors and demister.
