Hi Everyone, i've been reading the forums regarding battery charging & the accumate chargers as I'm getting one with the car next week and I've been trying to get my head around best practise of when to plug in and when not to.

One bit of info I seem to be missing is why does a TVR battery need charging versus a regular car? I appreciate the alarm drains a small amount of power as does opening the door & starting, however is there another reason that I'm missing?

thanks.

I use mine virtually daily, but I still plug it in when I get home and it's in the garage - the one time I don't, it'll be Sods Law that dictates I leave the lights on, or similar!

In my experiences so a battery conditioner is a must for any TVR. All of the TVRs I've owned have been more prone to the battery discharging even when the car isn't used for a few days and my Tamora has continued this trend. Since I've had the Accumate there have been no problems.
