Pedal box adjustment

My good lady wife, being a person of compact disposition (4ft 11in) need to reach the pedals better. It seems that the pedal box is set at the furthest setting. Now in the chim it was easy in so much as you fit the Leven long pedals and get the TVR factory seat bolster.

However - in the Tam, I am told you can move the whole pedal box - how is this done? Anyone on here done it?

Yep dealer adjusted ours we are both vertically challenged!

Moving the pedal box is fairly easy but you will need some one with small hands.

The pedal box is bolted through the floor and into a cross memeber that is pre drilled to allow the pedal box to be moved up or down.

The pedal box is normally fitted in the mid position, moving it up or down allows an extra inch either way.

Basically jack the car up at least a foot, undo the nuts holding the pedal box to the floor.

Drill through the floor using the crossmember holes (pre drilled) as the template.

Now the hard bit, as the bolts are not captive you will need someone with small hands to locate the bolts back in the new holes and then put the nuts back on and all done.

Allow about an hour if doing it yourself, an extra inch does make a difference so I am told.

Sounds a bit too ambitious for me to attempt - the cross member/drilling/template scenario sounds a bit daunting.

I tryed to do it on my Tuscan, and gave up after an hour and i wouldn`t class my self as a complete numpty with a spanner, especially when your nearest dealer is nearly an hour away

It's fairly easy and quick for a dealer to sort. My other half is only 5 ft and I'm 6'2 and we've got the pedals set up for us both to use the car comfortably (surprisingly so in fact).
