Slippy Slidy Snowy Stuff......

Been interesting the last couple of days in Aberdeen - drive to work has been fairly cautious, but OK.
Snow and slush aplenty, but kept the hoof off the throttle and taken my time: one gradual slide coming up to a junction, but predicted and held OK: took some getting going again, reversed a little to get some traction and then off OK.
See what tomorrow brings, since the temp is expected to drop to -5 tonight.
You do learn a lot about the 'Gris in this weather.

Nothing beats using a car in all conditions to get to know it well! I've learned to really trust my T350, with an occasional prod at it's limits to make sure I'm within them. I drive my Sagaris in all weathers. It's fine most of the time. The only issue I have had is when you get the extra boost at about 4k rpm the back end snaps away, but is easily caught.
When it is slippy I tend to change gear a little early and use the torque to power away in a more controlled manner.

Dvp, same here - the 'Gris takes that drive off very well. Also found it really does absorb the drop down when slowing into a slip lane etc.
So much better than the Chim or Cerb, if I do that to the same extent with either I would have been taking a close check in the hedge sparrows residence without a doubt!!
Tail Slide - I'm still being quite cautious in this weather - but again, far prefer the 'Gris.

(car going on the stand up there on Saturday: TVR / TVRCC arranged it. John Matthew, who made the film touring the 'Gris around Europe last year is having his film showcased. If you haven't seen it, really excellent).
That aside, with our current weather here in Scotland, it will make for an interesting drive!!
