Finally got round to fitting.........
Discussion
...my new wheels and tyres, picked the Tamora up from Fernhurst after a service, it is now running absolutly brilliant and with a change of leads the misfire has gone, and has released some lost ponies, the guys at Fernies reckon it`s a quick one
On the way back via Goodwood, it was the first time i havn`t missed my Tuscan, a totally different car now, the new 255/35`s are wearing in well and the exhaust note is different after it`s tweek, and when i opened up the throttle, it flew
Thanks to Graham, Brian and the team at Fernies, who are now changing SP6 HT leads as part of there routine service, worth bearing in mind when pricing up your next service
I took these today for your approval

stuck the silver spiders on E-bay, Danny reckons he saw flames
would have loved to see it,there again, all i could see was the back of your screen
didn`t even know yours was de-catted? Will have to keep my eye out for them, got your belt sorted yet?
Can`t wait for another run, like a kid at X-Mas

It was hard enough to try and keep up with the bloody tuscan, thought I had a chance with the 3.6 in the Tam, but obviously not
. Yes it is flaming on spirited up changes at the moment
, can hear the 'thuluup' noise from in the car and daylight flash from behind the car in the dark
. Identifide today that the water pump pulley is a few mm out of align which could account for the belt throwing, which is good news as they had to stop mapping last time because of it so there might be a little left in the tank

Good point about the Ht leads. I have had mine changed at every service, it does make a difference. Have now upgraded to Magnecor leads, they are different again, car is alot smoother.

I went to Magnecor leads at my last service - not noticed any change, but they were fitted to pre-empt the failure normal leads seem to have.

Rats forgot to get my leads changed during its 12k service. How long to they take to do? Has anyone fitted magnecor KV85 leads? How much do these cost?

Act sell the leads. The distributor is at the back and a pain to get at and there is a masticed-in-place cover on the spark plug cover thingy. Too much of a pain to change them until next service unless you have a problem IMO.

Yeah - what's the story with centre caps?
Some have black TVR ones and some have yellow ones?
What does it all mean?
(Car looks fantastic BTW - but you knew that already)
I think yellow caps where on earley cars? Not sure, my caps are sort of gold in colour, which i like so they are staying on

Take 15 mins to change.
Take top off airbox, (to get at power pack on side of engine block, there is no dizzy?)and remove plug lead cover,(run a sharp knife throgh silicone), dead easy, didn't bother re-sealing the cover as the hardened silicone acts as a gasket, pull off old leads and push on new.
Got my KV 85 magnecors from ACT, think they were around £130 ish.

Car looks fantastic Tony
but I have to agree with Trefor about the wheel centres - mine came with same centres you have, but esp for the anthracite wheels, IMO you've got to go for the black centres with TVR logo - click on the pic in my profile and you should get the general idea. I got them from Dream Machines.

Sweet.
Now just needs some darker wheel centre caps - the gold ones look naff IMO. I think you can get replacements cheap.
