I was driving my bmw 325 conv, on a lovely sunny monday afternoon, roof off thinking I was quite early for my appointment at barnet general hospital when I noticed a TVR sighn like a giant lolipop outside what looked like a garden centre in the barnet road arkley, I have always wondered since my late teens what was down this drive way,so to kill some time I investigated.
I drove in parked my darling bmw and to my glee the first car I saw was a beautifull red segaris its price tag made me wish I was born rich.
I walked up and down ,down and up this long row of cars, each time I passed the same green or was it blue Tamora she would wink at me with her beautifull eyes and I thought I would hear her say 'hello big boy'.
This was instant love, possibly a bit shallow going on looks alone, but hey what the hell.
Then I made one of the most important phone calls of my life to the wife.I asked her if we still needed to have 2 cars with 4 seats for us and our 13 year old daughter, she must have instantly sussed me out because she said if your thinking of getting rid of the bmw you do realise that the familly car would have to be her mini cooper convertible. thats ok by me.
YES YES YES
I ran in to see Mark what a lovelly man.I couldnt believe what I was offered for my car, a lot more than I expected, what a perfect day.
I sighned on the dotted line and thought it would be nice to test drive her.
Key in the ignition a small turn forwards then O MY GOD, not only is she beautifull she sounds so sexy. I wasnt allowed to drive untill she had warmed up, we swapped seats somewhere down the A1,strapped ourselves in and O MY GOD again I was driving the starship enterprise and going into warp drive.
My wife thinks she is stunning and Ive had a grin on my face ever since, something my ex could never quite manage, by the way I did miss my appointment at the hospital.Thats the biggest impulse buy Ive ever had.

Know what you mean! Was looking for a new love, did all the the test drives but it just wasn't there. Saw the Tamora........

End of story. Seduced, smitten, suckered in.

Dude...never just pop into a TVR showroom for a quick test drive. It is always a bad bad idea and invariably involves an involuntary opening of your wallet!

Fun though isnt it?

Great story, you wont regret it. Hope the missed hospital appointment wasnt for anything too trivial!

Maybe he'll now be able to say the car cost him an arm and a leg

(I assume its nothing serious as even a TVR shouldn't have tempted you away then)

Good story. I dont recognise the name Chris working there, there is a Giles and a Mark. Sure it was not mark? I love the line up of cars they have, can not help but make you smile when you see them!
