From WreckedExotics...
Car:
2005 TVR T350C
Description:
The TVR and a Mercedes SLK were racing on the highway on a sunny Saturday morning, doing well in excess of 200km/hr.

The driver of the TVR lost control, ramped off the highway and slammed into the paved embankment along the side of a road that passes under the highway.

Although no other people were injured, the TVR driver was killed instantly.

Location:
Johannesburg, South Africa

I seem to remember someone from SA posting on here with his T350C

Take it easy and play it safe....

Mr F

Due to the images being of a fatal accident, the link has been removed in respect

That doesn't look good. Is there no roll-over protection in the T350...? That thing looks pancaked...

Holey Schmoley - that looks awful. Obviously someone died here. My heart goes out to the deceased's family.

Yes, the T350 has a full roll cage. This must have been a very high speed/hard impact.

Just had a look through his previous posts becasue I vaguelly recalled he was into street drag racing and something to do with a GT3. Found this:

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=211759

So it looks highly likely to be him unfortunatly

As his profile suggests there are only 2 350's in SA I would suggest its very likely to be him. Such a shame and a shiver down the back to all of us. There but for the grace of god...

The second photo of the set really shows the damage.

LINK REMOVED FOR THE SAME REASONS AS ABOVE

Must have landed on hard on the roof to crush it like that...
Awful way to go. Lesson not to street race.
Shame for his family.

that is truly awful.
there is very little chance of anyone walking away from a crash as bad as that.
you have to feel bad for his family at this time.

HOWEVER - please be aware that my T350 was purchased from a legitimate TVR dealer in SA - we currently have 3 T350's, 1 Tuscan, 1 Tuscan S and 6 or so Chimaeras on the road here, with 1 Sagaris and another Tuscan S currently on the water.

His last post was Feb 11th. I hope this is not the case. My best wishes are with the familly of the driver (who has not been identified as yet)

The link only shows the car. It's not in any way a gruesome photo after all.
I'd have thought leaving the link intact would act as a lesson to those who street race? Shows the devastating consequences, and would hopefully make people think twice before doing it.

Thats one way of looking at it. Generally when there has been a fatality in conjunction with the photos, they tend to get removed on PH.
