Hi,
Just new to this forum and new to TVR's so please be gentle with me.

I am looking to buy a T350 thats advertised on autotrader and was wondering if it belonged to anyone on here (its the 2003 Chameleon Orange one with polished alloy wheels).

I have arranged to take it for a test drive on Saturday and will be taking a mechanic with me to give it a once over, is there anything in particular I should look for.

It seems to have a few months TVR warranty left on it, is it possiblle to extend this warranty (the dealer has said that they will cover it with a warranty but I will have to look into this to find out if it's any good).

Counting the hours to Saturday!

Craig

Gis a clue where the car is then. Is it North London? - there was a PHer who owned one with different alloys which he bought from Barnet - it was a Targa with butterscotch interior. Is this the car?

Its in a garage in the Leicester area (didn't put the name of the garage as it may be against PH's rules).

Its got 18" twin five spoke alloys, and yes you could say the interior is Butterscotch, sounds like it could be the same car, any history would be a help, its only done 5000 miles and seems to be a god deal at just under £26000 from a dealer.

Used to belong to a guy on here but I can't remember his username sorry. I got in touch with him about buying it when I was looking for mine last July (he offered it to me for £33k, but i ended up buying new in the end)), it was for sale for ages after that and has been round a few dealers too IIRC.

Thanks for the reply,

It is a lovely car but makes me wonder why its been for sale for so long and round the dealers, I did know it had been in an exchange from one other dealer, hope it's OK when I go and see it on Saturday.

To be honest he wanted IMO over the odds money at the time. For the whole time it was for sale privately it was at least 3k over priced, and he wouldn't budge on price. I 'think' it was at one dealer on 'sale or return', but i can't comment on anything else cos i dont know!

It is even pictured here, where mclark got his Sag from. Presumably on sale or return.

I think his name was Leon or Leo. Nice guy. Didn't seem to treat the car badly and it was always super shiney when I saw it. If you like the interior combo and the price then I'd say go for it.

'Ere that's my car!! The green one

I did actually contemplate the T350 but 2 things put me off.

1/ Interior colour
2/ Targa roof

Saying that, the car looked spotless when in the showroom.

Thanks for all the replies,
it helps to have TVR people to talk to, it's the paint colour that we love (me and the wife), can live with the interior.
Wife has just sat here searching the forum and found the car and some of its history, so at the moment I'm not too sure if this will be the one (ex demo and seems to have been thrashed), and looks as if its been going from dealer to dealer for the past 9 months so not sure how it would have been looked after during this time.
Going to keep looking, got my heart set on a T350 to take to Le Mans.
