I haven't got the box to hand at this time, but I am sure it tells you the torque settings on the 'Shiney Nuts' box, have just tried to find mine, I always see it/trip over it in the garage, when I want it, it's been moved!

Just taken this off the shiny nut box. 80lbf.ft or 108Nm. If your torque wrench has an extension bar fitted to the socket increase the torque setting by approximately 10% or 8lbf.ft and after driving 20 miles check aeach wheelnut again

Funny that this should be posted, because I was going to buy a socket set, and had not idea what sizes I need. What size are the shinynuts?

And while we are at it - are there any benefits in 3/4" over 5/8" for sockets sets and torque wrenches.

I feel the need for more tools but the choice seems endless.

The "official TVR" torque setting is 65 lbft. The generic standard for a M12 untreated stud/ nut combination is 75 lbft. Coated threads (such as Dacromet) affect the clamp load transfer so normally require different torque levels - this may be the case for Shiny Nuts (stainless steel) hence their figure of 80 lbft... maybe this should be investigated further, but then it wouldn't be "A Quick Question................"
