Ok picked the car up at 11 this morning drove it back to work which was a scary experience dam that throttles responive never went over 2500 revs or 50 mph then took it for a longer run after picking my little girl up from school got the oil temp up to 60 and opened it up a little nothing daft yet tho till i really feel at 1 with her.

so i now have a few of the silly questions im sure you guys have heard a million times

Firstly how do i get this silly grin off my face is there a cream or does it have to be surgically removed?

2, wot is the definitive word on the oil temp? ie wot revs wot temp? do i go by the handbook figures?

3,its ticking over at between 850 600 revs is that right?

finally how come its so god damned gorgeous?

Generally keep below 3,000 rpm below 40degs on oil. 4,000 ish revs below 50degs. Don't give it 100% if oil is below 60degs. Water temp will be OK if oil reaches these figures. Motorway/fast roads in temps below 5 degs results in oil temp dropping down to high 40s sometimes. Concensus is that engine hasn't really cooled down that much, but to take it a little easy, but most people use common sense and use the 4000 or so revs they need to maintain 100 leptons etc. but don't go silly.

Oh, and watch out for the 3000-4000 'boost' in the rev range. Many speed six cars crashed on straight roads.

just trying to work out if mine is over hard,'cos it feels it.

welll im problem not in a position to answer yet all i can say is mine feels really stiff can feel every bump but its not uncomfortable and feels solid in the corners.
