Is this a problem? If you're leaving your TVR outside all weather, all year as well as using it all year round, do you need to be worried about this? (Sorry, used to have a Marcos hence my question!)

I suppose if you left it for long enough it would be. I've not seen anything to worry about on any cars post 2000 though. TVR's coating of the chassis isn't quite as good as a Galvanised German car thats for sure.

Biggest problem is stones chipping the coating and rust then setting in. Many Chimaeras and Griffiths are now reaching the stage where the outriggers and wishbones are getting a little tired. Easy enough repair though.

Thanks for the info. I imagine it's something you shouldn't need to worry about in the newer cars (T350 for example)...
