Questions about T350 purchase
Discussion
Looking at a T350 in the next few months but have some questions.
id use it for every day should that be a problem
should i get the extended warrenty?
are they more reliable than every one says?
When is servicing needed? every 6K?
when they go bang would i need to sell my house to fund it?
THANKS

Hi There,
Have you the space for two cars ??
If so, buy a rat and a T350 - I'll bet almost every other T350 has other cars.
If it goes bang, £5K's the worst I've heard - That's about a Ferrari cambelt service !
Will be be reliable ?? Yes and No. I wouldn't expect to be stranded with it often (or ever), but don't think it'll be 100% either (if you have realistic expectations, you'll enjoy owning it).
Having two cars will solve all your problems :-
cost - you won't be using it as often (in winter/rain etc, etc), less depreciation etc.
Service - 6000 miles will last you a year
Reliability - you'll never have to rely on it so it will be a much lower priority
I think it you do the maths, it'll work out cheaper to have two cars - twice the fun
Good luck with your decision.
Bigman.
P.S Extended warranty - I'd say yes, engines can go bang (especially before 2003), but my t350's been MUCH better than my cerbera and I'm running without (but my engine's been rebuilt and that's under warranty).

There is one simple answer that will cover ALL your worries.... Buy a 'new generation' TVR with the 3year warranty on it. It means you can use it and not have to worry about it going bang. If it does go bang or has any sort of problem at all, you just take it to your nearest dealer and bobs your uncle, it's all fixed FOC. And you can use it EVERY day like I do with mine, just make sure you warm her up properly.
... and would you Adam & Eve it, look what's sat in the classifieds with your name ALL over it! www.pistonheads.com/sales/70450.htm
