Just wanted to post some good reliablity news.

I got back at the weekend from a trip to Monaco via the Alps doing over 3,000 miles in 7 days ranging from high speed long distance motorway cruising to caning it around the hairpins of the Alps and the Tamora never missed a beat.

Regular top ups of oil, water and loads of fuel was all that was required.

I've now got over 34,000 miles on the clock and to my knowledge it has not had a rebuild. TVR Power said at the 30,000 service that there was no noticable signs of engine wear.

I've owned the car for 16 months now and have put 22,000 miles on it in this time with little more than careful warming up, checking water and oil every couple of weeks and the 6k servicing. I also know very little about engine maintenance.

Hope this might encourage some people to take the plunge who have read all the negative reliabilty posts and are put off.

Has anybody got more than 34k miles on their Tamora/T350 out there? Don't see many for sale with more than this.

This is good to hear!

There was one at Snetterton on Monday with 39-40k on the clock. On its original engine, no major work according to the owner (PHer 'Shorts!'). The clutch did give up the ghost on the day though (first clutch I think too).

Great news Ceecee!

I've had my Tamora since new and have done 33,000 miles since Jan '02. No engine problems until its 30,000 mile service when TVR Power recommended a rebuild and blue-printing!

Nice one ceecee

- so did you have to boot it to get the car round some of those tighter hairpins?

The Alps were the best drives of my life. The scenery was also out of this world, people talk about the lake district being beautiful but this was a cut above. Would love to post a photo to tempt some of you to do a similar trip but haven't got a clue how to. Anyone let me know how to do it?

Also, thinking of doing a trip to Nurburg next year, but worried about some idiot in a knackered shed ploughing into me on the track. Anyone done the ring and convince me it's safe to do?
